• Account information — your name, email address, password (hashed), department, batch year, and student/alumni status.
• Profile information — optional bio, profile photo, cover photo, interests, social links, and career information you choose to add.
• Usage data — pages visited, features used, timestamps (for improving the service).

2. How We Use Your Information

• To operate and maintain your account.
• To display your profile to other members (subject to your privacy settings).
• To send service notifications (verification emails, password resets).
• To send optional digest emails (you may unsubscribe at any time).
• To improve the platform based on aggregate usage patterns.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure. We use encryption at rest and in transit. Authentication is managed by AWS Cognito. We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties.

4. Your Rights

• Access — You can view all data we hold about you from your profile page.
• Correction — You can edit your profile at any time.
• Deletion — You may delete your account, which will permanently erase your personal data within 30 days.
• Export — You may request a copy of your data by contacting us.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (session tokens). We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels.

6. Third-Party Services

SSUET Connect uses the following third-party services:

• AWS (hosting, storage, email delivery)
• Cloudflare / CloudFront (CDN)

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be announced via email and an in-app notification.
